Buffet
I took my time getting ready because I knew there were not that many miles before I got to Belden and I could easily make it before it got too late to receive my tent package. I hiked a few miles until I reached a nearby road where I was persuaded by Sean and S to hitch with them into town to eat at a buffet (that I knowingly could not eat much from) and go to the store down there. Though I probably spent unnecessary money with that trip into town I am really glad I did. If I hadn't I might now have met this great group of people.
After we got a ride back to the trail we hiked until we were about 6 miles from Belden. For a few minutes before I reached where everyone else was setting down to camp, I just cried because of how beautiful the sunset and everything was and how lucky I was to be able to live this life. I was in rough shape for a bit.
When I got to the camp I decided to cowboy camp again. I found out that FP has the same tent as me and we became instant best friends. That was put on hold though the moment he pulled out a can of sardines to put in his tortillas... I could handle AH's tuna but not sardines oh the smell was awful.
