Today was so much better than yesterday. It wasn’t wet. Yay. A strong trail name contender was brought up today. “Mighty Mouse”. I am small, yet I am strong and don’t complain about things when they are yucky aka yesterday’s wetness (out loud at least.... on here I feel like I complain a bit too much... sorry!) but someone else already has that name so it was vetoed.

Today we had lovely weather  (not too hot) and lovely views. The usual gorgeousness just got better with cotton candy floating around on top of it.

We got started pretty late (at least for this group). We got to the trailhead a little after 9 and hiked for about 3 hours before taking a nice long lunch break. I basically ate all the snacks for the week in one sitting which is probably not a good thing. Either my hiker hunger is setting in or I am reverting to my binging ways which I am trying to stop. Anyways. After lunch we started a 4 mile climb. I hardly even noticed it actually. Yay hiker legs!

DB, AH and I went into this cave to check it out. Kind of anticlimactic for a cave sadly.

We were super close to being in a hail storm but we thankfully out hiked it! I don’t think I could have handled another night of wet.

One can really see the desert from here.

While eating dinner we had a fire… not surprisingly though I was still freezing. How I’m going to make it through the sierras is beyond me.

20.9 miles today.
