Sky Cabin Wall Hanging

Two months ago I finished piece my Sky Cabin Quilt wall hanging and it is finally ready to be shared. The pattern’s cover quilt’s quilting was too perfect to stray away from so I did my best to recreate it and through a bunch of hera markings and few colorful words I was able to get all the quilting done with only a few puckers.

When I quilt projects myself I tend to gravitate towards evenly spaced straight quilt lines (sometimes curved but still evenly spaced) because it looks good with most patterns and is relatively straightforward (no pun intended) but since this piece is meant to be displayed I thought it needed a little something something to set it apart and I think it was the right decision.

This was a just for me project and will hang in our spare room/my office that currently has nothing adorning its walls in an attempt to make it more inviting (mostly for me) and to add some color to the walls.  It is also the perfect size to hide the eyesore of an electrical panel that also lives in that room.  When he is working from home, Andrew is able work in our joint hobby area and gets to be surrounded by colorful fabric and projects all day :’) Lucky him.  I will now get to enjoy some color while working too *<:D

One wall section down. Four to go!
