Pinchot Pass

We left camp around 520 and quickly found the actual trail which we followed for a few miles before it became covered in snow again.

I was having a rough morning even though it was not too cold and we had walked on dirt. I was not having it. I can handle snow and I can handle water crossings but both… ugh. Wet feet are the worst.

We made it over Pinchot Pass around 1 and broke for lunch to let our feet warm up. I used my reflective sleeping mat as an oven for my toes and it worked wonders.

After lunch my day took a full one eighty for some reason. I think it was because we were just going downhill… but even when we had to follow a river uphill again I was still in good spirits.

We finally made camp around 630 and found out that we had walked 15 miles which is crazy far considering the passed two days we hiked that much in total.
