The Long Drive

The past week and a half has been pure agony. The end of my Pacific Crest Trail experience brought a lot of mixed feelings with it. People who I saw after I came home congratulated me on completing the PCT and I would say thank you but inside I knew I was lying to myself. It was getting further and further into October and I didn't think there was any chance of me making it there before even more snow came down in the Sierras but I kept checking the Yosemite weather updates anyways. At one point there was a week long stretch of clear weather that looked like it would be my only window of opportunity. It was now or never. I told my dad that I didn't feel like I accomplished my goal. We started driving down to Sonora Pass 2 hours later. My dad is the freaking best.
