Lassen Volcanic National Park

I got up an hour before everyone else so that I could keep up with them for at least a little bit of the day. That lasted for about 6 miles where we had breakfast together. After which I was in the back again until lunch. We were attempting to get through the entirety of Lassen National Park which I believe would have made today the longest day I've gone since getting back on trail. Hikers usually try to get through the entire park in a day because you need a bear canister to camp in the park which none of us usually have anymore after the Sierras. Towards the end of the day there was a lake that we all jumped into (including me even though I was pretty reluctant) because it was so dang hot and I knew I would be dry by the time we got to camp. FP and I talked for the rest of the day while we hiked so I wasn't all alone like I usually was. We made it out of the bear canister required zone and plopped down the first second we could. My hair was still wet from the dip earlier so I slept colder than usual which I will try to prevent in the future.
