Cows
We had lunch when we got to the second road (where Sean was going to get back on. Mozart hitched back into Etna because his leg was not feeling right. After checking out the fire closures around the PCT and making sure we could get through the section we kept going. We met back up with Sean and I got a chance to use my cell phone to call A. While I talked on the phone I sat at the edge of a cliff that looked over the valley and I was able to see Etna. I kept hearing his weird sound which turned out to be cow bells and when I looked I could see a bunch of them scattered around the area below me.
We camped by a lake where everyone went swimming (minus me not a huge getting wet person). North California often doesn't get a lot of love because when people go through here they had just finished the Sierras but it really is something to experience. Its like the desert plus actual hills AND trees. So many beautiful trees.
