Chipmunk Meat
The morning started off with a bit of snow traveling which I got across by myself and in the front of the pack! It was drizzling but nothing I needed to get my rain gear out for, there was a beautiful rainbow at the top of the first hill we went over.
We passed a trail crew and at lunch we talked to a guy who was eating chipmunks he had killed... there were dark clouds in the sky that actually started to drop decently sized hail pellets out of nowhere and they hurt a lot but it was not too bad because they only caused me to get minimally wet. Unfortunately, it turned into rain which washed literally all the dirt off of my legs which was awesome but my pack was completely drenched (everything inside was fine but the actual pack retained the water really well). I set up my tent the best I could with keeping as much dry as i could and it worked pretty nicely but everything was kind of damp no matter what I did.. since S and Sean were sharing a shelter and S went ahead, Sean borrowed mine and I shared a tent with FP, it was tight but by that point we are all so skinny a one person tent might as well be a two.
