Permit
The morning reflections of Dorothy Lake were BREATHTAKING my pictures don't do it justice. I walked through a valley for a while and passed by Wilma Lake that had apparently been completely overflown earlier this season. I could tell there was some flooding but it was nothing like it had been described to me. There were a bunch of stream crossings today but i didn't need to get my feet wet at all! The last one I crossed I took my shoes off but I could have found a log to go across I was just too narrow sighted at the moment i got there.
In the middle of the day I actually saw quite a few people, one person who I had met a few times in Washington and a Park Ranger which was just my luck. I forgot my PCT permit at home but I explained my situation and how sorry I was and showed them I had my bear canister like I was supposed to and they let me go with a warning but said that I probably wouldn't be as lucky if I came across one of their colleagues. After that I wasn't too worried since I planned on being done by tomorrow.
I set up camp after hiking a little after sundown and ended up at a pretty questionable spot.. I couldn't get my stakes into the ground so I had to use rocks that I found laying around and it worked decently well considering the wind.
