Tzvira to Gev Holit

This morning my poles were gone... We spent a good hour looking for them and asking the one other group that was camping in the area if they had seen them. It was kind of a bummer to start the morning but those poles have served me well in the last 12 months and now I believe they are helping someone else make it over their mountains more than they would help me get over mine. And if they were taken just because, then karma will bite them in the butt in the form of a million flies.

We walked a total of 7 miles today. We got to our night camp at 10:00 and were prepared to be bored out of our minds for the remainder of the day. To our fortune, a tour guide support vehicle came by soon after our arrival. We pulled up a pallet for our new friend as he waited for a pre-military group of hikers to arrive and grab supplies from him. His name was Lidor, and we talked for 6 hours about music, Israeli culture, the good and the bad of all our societies and made lots of coffee.

The flies tried eating us alive all day and it was weird to just be sitting. I got to practice my crossword puzzle solving skills though and during one of our conversations one of the answers I had been missing came up!

At the end of the day the night camp started to fill up with other hikers and we retired to our tents.
