Tehachapi

After about 10 minutes of walking and 15 minutes of sticking our thumbs out on the side of the road we got a hitch to Tehachapi.

Our first hitch dropped us off a few miles out of town. Though we hike 20 miles a day with ease doesn’t mean we want to walk 3 miles when we don’t have to. We stuck our thumbs out again. This time a really nice lady and her grandson stopped for us. Her car was already a bit full but we all squeezed in. I was on DB's lap trying not to squish our three year old car buddy. We were dropped off at the Best Western we had our reservations at and left our packs in a corner while we found something to eat.

After eating we stopped at big 5 and Albertsons for some socks, a bandana, and fruit. Lots and lots of fruit.

AH and I walked to the post office and picked up our multiple boxes. I received a total of 4. Apparently a squirrel likes the meals that A is making me because it tried getting into my box. At least that is what the postlady told me. I got a new hat, socks, shorts, and all my foods. Yum.

After some reading, a shower, some poolside sitting and eating grapes (oh and picking out the raisins from AH’s trail-mix to put into my peanut butter) we all went to the local movie theater and watched guardians of the galaxy vol. 2. It was very entertaining. I even walked into the theater right when the star wars trailer was playing. I was so happy. I just stood in the isle until it was over. My feet basically couldn’t move.
