Cascade Locks

Last night I decided I would make it to Cascade Locks tonight. Tomorrow is my dad's birthday and I wanted to be there for it so.

I got up earlier than everyone else and made my way down the trail. After filling up my water bottles I crossed a couple of wide creeks (without getting wet, success) and then took an alternate route that goes past a waterfall and though the sun was still rising I was still able to see the falls. After about 6 miles I found some trail magic where I stayed for a half hour until FP showed up at which point I told him my plan. He said that he was hurting but would also push to CL as well. I don't think I was going necessarily fast at any point today I even took a couple longish breaks to refuel and get water unnecessarily, but I got there just like I said. I was even able to contact the brewery that had my resupply package and let them know I was going to get there pretty late. I showed up at Shrek's place and FP was already there talking to anyone who had ears like he usually does, not that anyone was listening to him but whatever. I found a spot on a foam pad on top of a platform and settled down to sleep after 43 miles. FORTY THREE MILES IN ONE DAY!
