The Bivy
2nd day back and I managed to hike 24 miles. I was pretty happy with myself. EVEN WHEN THE WHOLE MORNING WAS ME NAVIGATING MYSELF THROUGH ICE-SNOW!!!!! That made me really proud of myself yippy! Other than the snow in the morning, I met a section hiker who completed Washington last year and is doing North California this year. He was pretty cool and ended up camping with me even though he was originally going to stay quite a bit behind where I last saw him.
Oh. I should mention that I left my tent at home and brought a bivy instead. NOT A GOOD IDEA for me at least. I need to stop messing with a good thing. I miss my tent. Mosquitoes are so loud. Especially when they are RIGHT NEXT TO YOUR EAR. oh well. the next time I get service I will ask for my tent to be sent to me. I shall cowboy camp until then.
